CHAMBER MUSIC

TRIO DOBONA

The Trio DOBONA (flutist Nicole Henter, clarinettist Vera Karner and pianist Mennan Berveniku) have much in common: unrestrained joy in making music, exuberant energy, passionate expressiveness and above all: lots of temperament. The musicians met at a concert 2015 and have been making music together ever since. They have performed together in Austria, Germany, Croatia and Israel and were recorded for Radio Ö1. They are prizewinners of Fidelio Competition Vienna. Their repertoire includes duo and trio works of the most diverse stylistic periods: from high baroque duo sonatas in unconventional arrangements, opera paraphrases and romantic trios to the contemporary "Techno Parade".   www.triodobona.com

TRIO KARNER WAGNER

Since 2014 Vera Karner has been making music with ECHO Klassik prize winner Dominik Wagner (www.dominikemanuelwagner.com). The musicians dedicate themselves to the unusual combination of double bass, clarinet and piano mainly to interpretations of clarinet and piano trios (e.g. works by Brahms, Zemlinksy, Juon and Beethoven). In addition, many works have been composed for the ensemble, e.g. by Wolfram Wagner, Akos Banlaky and Mark Chaet. Vera Karner and Dominik Wagner were awarded the Fanny Mendelssohn Förderpreis 2016 and released their album "Gassenhauer" with Berlin Classics. Together they are also prizewinners of Musica Juventutis (Vienna Konzerthaus) and musicians of the concert promotion programme of the Austrian Foreign Ministry "NASOM". They have performed together at Vienna Konzerthaus, Vienna Musikverein, Konzerthaus Berlin, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Frauenkirche Dresden, the Schleswig-Holstein Musikfestival, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as well as in New York, Denmark and Japan.
